Introducing Forensics.

Construction crisis consulting services for MENA giga projects.

Forensics is an innovative trilogy of deep construction, management and contracts know-how, packaged as consulting services for contractors, project owners and developers who need extra support when things start to go wrong on giga projects in MENA, as they always do.

Six Forensics consulting services for construction executive teams, project teams and legal teams.

Conditions of Contract Analysis.

Digital artwork of a woman sitting at a table, reading a book, with a set of scales of justice and a balance behind her, in a dark, moody library setting.

Tender phase analysis of the conditions of contract to identify onerous clauses, contradictions, duplications, and making recommendations for reasonable interpretation, in addition to identification of important obligations that have been improperly allocated under various clauses.

Measurement Disputes.

A person sitting at a desk in front of large windows with a city skyline, working on architectural blueprints in a modern, high-rise office.

CMA has the expertise to interpret the contract documents and analyze the rules of measurement and the errors in the Bill of Quantities that have given rise to the dispute, and ultimately provide an accurate estimate of the cost involved and the resulting entitlements.

Construction Methods.

A modern high-rise building with an unusual twisted design, featuring glass windows and concrete walkways connected around the structure in foggy weather.

Preparation of method statements for buildings and civil engineering works, with narratives and drawings for activities including site mobilization, building excavation and shoring, formwork systems, precast concrete construction, earthmoving and bridge construction.

Engineering Delay Analysis.

Architectural blueprint with detailed technical drawings and measurements on a dark background.

Forensic delay analysis to detect piece-meal reviews and approvals by the Engineer and to determine whether the Engineer can be held responsible for delays to the project.

Specifications Interpretation.

Technical architectural drawing of a building's cross-section showing multiple levels, rooms, stairs, pipes, and structural elements in black and white.

Construction projects and construction problems start approximately at the same time. Sometimes specifications are defective, other times they are ambiguous and may be legally unenforceable. Contractors pass their eyes over “standard clause” provisions with little thought to the potential ramifications. CMA is able to review the specifications and examine the whole contract in an effort to reconcile ambiguities and conflicts.

Cost to Completion.

A person sitting alone on the floor in front of large green marble walls, surrounded by scattered objects, with reflections on the shiny floor.

Interrogation of the project’s cost estimate and establishment of the Target Budget, including any contingencies, to serve as a reference throughout the project, and end-of-contract forecasts, as well as reconciliation of the final income statement between the project management and the project accountancy.
